Reiki Healing
Reiki is a Japanese word that literally means Universal Life Force energy.
Reiki healing is the harnessing of that energy (that is all around us) in it's purest form for healing and for the highest possible good in your life.
Reiki brings healing and balance to your physical body, your mind and your emotions. You need not have any religious background or belief to receive Reiki as it is non denominational and very different from Spiritual healing.
Elizabeth Cairns is a Reiki Master who uses Reiki in her healing work with individuals and groups and teaches Reiki at 1st and 2nd Degree.
"To some of us a concept like Reiki can be a little amorphous, potentially a little weird and possibly reserved, in some minds, for the socks and sandals brigade. Well I'm a firm believer in being a practical, down to earth advocate for this amazing energy and the innate healing power of each of us.
My workshops are designed to give you a practical experience of energy at work and, for those that way inclined, a simple grasp of the metaphysics in play. That's not to say that there aren't sometimes bells and smells, but there is always method in my madness.
I believe in the inclusive spirit of Reiki and making it accessible to all while still honouring and preserving the sacred mystery of this healing art.
When the time is right then it is my experience that Reiki will find you. Whether you are in need of healing or have a desire to pass on healing to others, each of us in on our own unique journey. My work is as a companion on that journey, to help you explore, to discover more of who you are and empower yourself to live a full and happy life."
A Reiki treatment with Elizabeth involves her placing her hands on or close to your body while you are fully clothed and sitting or lying comfortably.
People will often find a Reiki session to be very relaxing, and gentle experience that is restorative, healing and empowering on many levels.
