To receive Indian Head Massage you sit comfortably upright, clothed in a light T Shirt or strappy vest or wrapped in a towel as you prefer. We use no oils. The massage works over the muscles of the upper back, neck, shoulders and face so we advise you wear only light make up or none at all. If you hair is very long do please bring a hair band or clip to use during part of the treatment.

The whole massage lasts approximately 45 minutes and can include Reiki and a guided relaxation to begin with if desired.

The origin of shampoo comes from a Hindi word ‘champi’. Being ‘champi-ed’ meant having your head massaged. It began as the way to keep your long hair in beautiful condition and has become a part of daily life. It is still practiced widely in India and throughout the world and works on the muscles and tissues of the head, neck and shoulders with the aim of clearing the energy channels and rebalancing the Chakras and restoring health and wellbeing.
